A PLACE FOR ALL CHILDREN & FAMILIES

Inclusivity & Accessibility

“Diversity is being invited to the party. Inclusion is being asked to dance” – Verna Myers

Our Commitment to Inclusivity & Accessibility

At Main Line Play Therapy, we believe every child and teen deserves a safe, affirming, and inclusive space to heal, grow, and thrive. We welcome and honor the diverse identities and experiences of all children, teens, and families we encounter—recognizing the complex intersections of race, culture, gender, sexuality, neurodiversity, disability and chronic illness, faith, and more.

We stand firmly against racism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and discrimination in all its forms, and are committed to anti-racist, trauma-informed, culturally-attuned, and accessible care so that every child and family feels seen, heard, and empowered.

Creating Safe and Affirming Spaces

  • LGBTQIA+ inclusive & gender-affirming care

  • Culturally-attuned therapy for BIPOC communities

  • Neurodiversity-friendly & accessible support

  • Ongoing education and professional development for our therapists & advocacy

Inclusive Access

We are dedicated to making our practice welcoming and accessible:

  • Service dogs welcome

  • Breastfeeding-friendly spaces & baby-changing facilities: We welcome breastfeeding throughout our spaces - if you prefer a private space, we will do our best to accomodate you to ensure a calm, supportive environment for you and your little one. Baby-changing facilities are also available.

  • Wheelchair-accessible locations: If needed, clients can visit our Chestnut Hill office, which is on the first floor and fully accessible.

You Belong Here

Your identity, experiences, and story matter. You are welcome here, exactly as you are. Our goal is to provide a compassionate, judgment-free space where children and teens can express themselves freely and develop the tools to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

Diversity is not about how we differ. Diversity is about embracing one another’s uniqueness
